An underwater inspection: The Caribbean is a paradise under threat. Over 1,400 species of fish live in the region. The Bahamas archipelago alone includes close to 700 islands with 2,400 cays, as the islands' reefs are called. The coastal waters are overfished, polluted and further threatened by construction projects. But the biggest threat is tourism.
