After a long search, the US company Odyssey Marine Exploration located the wreckage of the vessel. The find was more than 50 kilometers (30 miles) away from where historical accounts say the vessel sank. Here, a mosaic made up of 2,821 high-resolution images reveals numerous bronze cannons from the shipwreck lying in the floor of the English Channel.
