Greenland's Sermeq Kujalleq glacier is the most productive glacier in the Northern Hemisphere, releasing 2 million tons of ice into the sea every day. The glacier front is 80 to 100 meters (260 to 330 feet) high and has retreated by several kilometers in recent years.
