Saad bin Laden (shown in a 2001 frame grab from Al-Jazeera) is one of the sons of al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden. He lived in Iran until making his way to Pakistan in January 2009. In July of that year, he was reportedly killed by a missile launched from an American drone. The death has not been officially confirmed by either the US or al-Qaida. In the US, he was considered to be one of his father's potential successors.
