Archeologists unearthed 82 silver coins and coin fragments in shallow ground in the fields of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania recently. The coins, many of which had Arabic symbols and depictions, may proved the existence of a trading route between a Slavic settlement in the region and the Middle East some 1,200 years ago.
