Temperatures in the German Alps are rising at an above-average rate, which will likely melt most of the glaciers there within the next 20 to 30 years, Bavaria's environment minister has warned. This photo shows the Watzmann, one of the most famous peaks in the Bavarian Alps, and one that probably won't have a glacier in the coming decades.
