Safi and Ahmed have never been apart.

How did you meet?

Safi: Our parents knew each other and introduced us to one another.

Ahmed: Then we started meeting more often. We went for walks along the Nile, or in Azhar Park. We just talked about all sorts of things.

What do you love about him / her?

Ahmed: Safi is always so friendly and cheerful. She's also always honest, which is very important to me.

Safi: I love that he's always so friendly. He's always patient and never argues with me, even if I sometimes lose my temper.

What does love mean to you?

Ahmed: Mainly love for God, devotion to God. And love for my wife, that we share our worries, but our joys too.

Safi: That the other person is honest and that even when times are tough you're there for each other and stick together.

What was the longest time you were separated from one another?

Ahmed: We've never been separated from one another. We only separate for the day when we go to work in the morning.

What do you wish for?

Ahmed: We want to stay in Cairo and have children and just be a family.

Safi: We would like to have children – three, ideally.
