How did you meet?
At college in Istanbul. We studied in the same department and were good friends until our third year. Then we started going out together.
What do you love about him / her?
Tanyeli: He allows himself to be persuaded by good arguments and is willing to change his point of view. He's very flexible as far as his beliefs are concerned and he doesn't follow any strict rules.
Riza: Her mature and self-confident view of things. The fact that material wealth isn't important to her -- how much money someone has, or a large house. She's above those things. She's cultivated and sharp-witted.
What does love mean to you?
The ability to handle all the trouble we sometimes cause each other and to be able to get along again within five minutes and forget everything.
What was the longest time you were separated from one another?
Tanyeli: I had to work in New York for a year. Riza couldn't give up his job because he thought that was too risky. So we had a long-distance relationship and only saw each other four times during this period, for a week or 10 days each time.
What do you wish for?
We would like to offer our children the opportunity of attending university. And we would like to live in a place were Tanyeli can wear flip-flops all day and Riza can play his favorite games on the Internet.
