Hundreds of thousands of Muslims circle the Kaaba inside and outside the Grand Mosque as they perform Eid al-Fitr prayers in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday. The Eid al-Fitr festival marks the end of Ramadan, the month-long celebration during which Muslims fast from sunup to sundown. The Kaaba, the cube-shaped building in the mosque's courtyard, marks the holiest site in Islam and is the endpoint of the Hajj, the sacred pilgrimage to Mecca.
