Sunny Side Up

The end is nigh. Of the European summer, that is. Showers and heavy clouds at the beginning of September mean these sunflowers in southern Germany may be blooming for the last time this year. Ahead of the official astronomical start to autumn on Sept. 22, Germany has had cooler temperatures and spells of heavy rain over the past week.
