What may look like a mysterious organism are actually hundreds of hungry catfish eagerly waiting to be fed. Tourists and devotees visiting the nearby temple feed the inhabitants of man-made lake Gadisar near Jaisalmer in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The lake was built as a reservoir in the 14th century and is now home to a large number of the freshwater fish.
