A Pakistani man and boy make their way through flood waters near the village of Basra in central Pakistan. Authorities estimate that up to 20 million people have been affected by severe flooding in the country over the past month, with between 2 million and 6 million requiring basic shelter. As the flooding heads south, the United Nations is calling for an increase in international donations and aid and the International Monetary Fund is speaking with the Pakistani government in order to evaluate the economic impact of the flooding and discuss how it can help the nation.
