Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi has a number of eccentricities. Perhaps none, however, is odder than his penchant for attempting to convert attractive Italian women to Islam whenever he visits Rome. On Sunday, Gadhafi handed out Korans to hundreds of young women and invited them to pledge their allegiance to the faith. The Associated Press quoted a woman identified only as Michela as saying that "three girls converted themselves to Islam during the ceremony. It was a beautiful event." This image shows a necklace bearing an image of Gadhafi worn by one of the attendees. The event is a repeat of a similar gathering during Gadhafi's visit to Italy last year.
