Athletic Indians in Mumbai, India, form a human pyramid on Thursday in order to reach the "dahi handi", an earthenware pot traditionally filled with milk, curds, honey and fruits. The pots are suspended anywhere between 20 and 40 feet (six to 12 meters) above street level and different teams compete to reach, then break, the pot during celebrations of Hindu deity Krishna's birthday. The contest attracts big crowds not least because many of the big city pots are "sponsored" -- that is, the team that breaks the pot not only claims the contents, they may also win a cash prize.
