The Plosky Tolbachnik volcano in Russia's far eastern Kamchatka Peninsula is erupting for the first time in 36 years. The volcano, which began to release lava on November 27, has two peaks, 3,085 and 3,682 meters high (10,119 and 12,077 feet) respectively.
