Picture This: Where's Angie?
Briefly escaping her campaign to serve a third term as Germany's leader, Chancellor Angela Merkel (to the right and dressed in red) and her husband Joachim Sauer last week departed on their annual hiking vacation in the Italian mountain resort of Sulden in South Tyrol. Here, Merkel and Sauer can be seen making their way on August 2 towards the 3,128-meter high (10,262 feet) peak of the Dossobello di Dentro (Hinteres Schöneck). Earlier this week, the chancellor disclosed that she is an avid hiker.
