German President Joachim Gauck walks past the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Athens on Thursday after laying a wreath there as part of his three-day official visit to Greece. Ahead of his visit, Greeks had renewed demands for reparations connected to World War II atrocities carried out in the country by Nazi Germany. Gauck rejected those demands but offered to set up a fund for remembrance instead.
