French paratroopers drop from a plane over Timbuktu airport as part of the Operation Serval in Mali in this picture from earlier this week and released on Friday. France's military intervention in the country, aimed at driving Islamists out of Mali, has entered its fourth week. French President François Hollande is reportedly traveling to the country this weekend to meet with interim President Dioncounda Traore in Bamako, before visiting Timbuktu, recently recaptured from Islamist groups by French and Malian troops.
