Geschichte

Got to Be There ist auf dem gleichnamigen Album erschienen und war das erste, nach dem erfolgreichen Dienst bei The Jackson 5 als Frontmann (in diesem Fall als Sänger). Allerdings machte er mit The Jackson 5 noch bis in die 1980er Jahre gemeinsam Musik. Die Single, die von Elliot Willensky geschrieben wurde und vom langjährigen Jackson 5 Produzenten Hal Davis produziert wurde, war laut den Charts ein sofortiger Erfolg.
