Man in the Mirror ist ein Song aus dem Jahre 1988 von Michael Jackson und die vierte Singleauskopplung aus dessen Album Bad von 1987. Der Titel wurde von Siedah Garrett und Glen Ballard geschrieben, die Single von Quincy Jones produziert. Es war damit einer von zwei Songs des Albums Bad, die nicht von Michael Jackson geschrieben worden waren. Die Single[1] wurde am 9. Januar 1988 veröffentlicht, am 6. Februar erstmals in den US-Charts notiert und blieb 17 Wochen in den Hot 100.[2]Man in the Mirror erreichte am 26. März 1988 Platz 1 der US Billboard Hot 100 und konnte den Spitzenplatz zwei Wochen halten.[3] Es war der zehnte Solotitel von Michael Jackson, der die Nummer 1 der US-Charts erreichte. 1989 war der Song für einen Grammy Award nominiert[4]. Nach Jacksons Tod 2009 stieg Man in the Mirror erneut auf Platz 2 der US Billboard Hot 100.
