A house severely damaged by fighting in Homs, Syria, an opposition stronghold: Turkey has gone from being on friendly terms with the Assad regime, to calling Assad a "coward" who should step down. Ankara has also allowed opposition fighters to take refuge in Turkey and slip across the border to fight. Many wonder if Turkey will now do more to help anti-Assad forces. Such help could include providing arms or even sending in its own forces. However, Turkish diplomats say they prefer not to discuss military intervention.
